A year ago, Yeonmin Kim, Ph.D., ’13, a literature professor from Chonnam National University in Gwangju, South Korea, was concluding his time as a visiting professor at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ with one goal in mind: Create an exchange program between the two schools based on their historic campus tragedies.

The lecture series created in 2022 to honor the legacy of ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Professor Emeritus of Sociology Jerry M. Lewis, Ph.D., will feature Professor of Geography Chris Post, Ph.D., presenting â€œDeveloping and Interpreting the Wounded Student Markers at ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ State†as this year’s selected speaker. The Jerry M. Lewis May 4 Lecture Series and Luncheon will be held on May 3.

It was a party 218 years in the making.

The thousands of people who came to ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ on April 8 to witness the total solar eclipse did not leave disappointed by the celestial show, the likes of which had not been seen in ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ, Ohio since 1806.
