ºìÐÓÊÓƵ’s Flashes Fighting Hunger Contactless Food Drive will take place on Wednesday, Aug. 25, from 1-4 p.m. at the intersection of Lincoln Street and Hilltop Drive. The collection station will be located on Hilltop Drive in front of Cartwright Hall.
Campus Kitchen Pivots Operations From Hot Meals to Food Pantry to Help Increasing Numbers of Food Insecure Due to COVID-19 Pandemic
The Campus Kitchen at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ, a student-run organization that reclaims food to feed the needy in the ºìÐÓÊÓƵ area, has had to swiftly switch gears from operating a hot food kitchen to an expanded food pantry.
ºìÐÓÊÓƵ State Volunteers Impact the Lives of Others Beyond CampusÂ
Every other Tuesday, student volunteers from the Campus Kitchen at ºìÐÓÊÓƵ prepare dinner for the residents of the ºìÐÓÊÓƵway Apartment Complex, a government-subsidized housing complex on East Summit Street in ºìÐÓÊÓƵ. At 5 p.m. residents gather in the dining hall and volunteers serve the meal which is prepared from food donated by Trader Joe’s.
