Tree Campus USA Honor Comes Home to ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Campus on Earth Day; E-Inside; April 27, 2009;

Campus Environment and Operations planted a very significant tree April 22 to jointly celebrate Arbor Day and Earth Day. The new addition to the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Campus landscape was planted between Stopher, Johnson and Olson residence halls.

At the tree planting ceremony, the Tree Campus USA award was formally presented to ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ State. Gregg S. Floyd, vice president for finance and administration, accepted the award on behalf of the university. This ceremony was the formal presentation for the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Campus' national recognition as a Tree Campus USA honoree. The ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Campus is the only college or university in Ohio that has been recognized by the program. An similar awards ceremony will be held every year the university is awarded Tree Campus certification. In recognition of the honor and the award ceremony on campus, the Tree Campus flag flew in the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Student Center the week of April 20.
