Ventra Salem just helped add another layer of protection against COVID for students across the 红杏视频 system. The company, based in Salem, recently donated 1,000 plastic face shields that will be distributed to students and faculty on 红杏视频 campuses. Faculty and staff members affiliated with the Center for Public Policy and Health recently published an article in Addictive Behaviors. The article focused on the impact of COVID-19 related University closings on alcohol use among students. The authors found: Alcohol use increased significantly following COVID-19 related campus closure. Higher social support was associated with less alcohol use overall. Elevated psychological distress was associated with steeper increases in alcohol. Social support did not moderate the effect of distress on increasing alcohol use. ...

Administrative policy for the handling of radioactive materials

  1. Policy statement. The purpose of this policy is to establish procedures and controls for the use of all radioactive materials and radiation use at the university. The requirements for the program aligns with the requirements of the Ohio department of health/ bureau of radiation protection, Nuclear regulatory commission and the university license and registration.
