Situated between two trees and overlooking the Commons area on the East Liverpool Campus is a beautiful bronze bench with a plaque that reads: “A life that touched others lives on forever.”  The bench was unveiled and dedicated on Sept. 30 to honor the late Dr. Carole A. The ������Ƶ Board of Trustees will hold a special meeting at 10 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 22, in Room 103 of the Center for Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement, located at 350 S. Lincoln St. on the ������Ƶ Campus. Dr. Ana Wetzl, associate professor of English at ������Ƶ at Trumbull, has earned a 2021 Outstanding Teaching Award.  Originally from Romania, Dr. Wetzl started teaching at ������Ƶ State Trumbull in 2006, where she was also the English Coordinator in the campus Learning Center. She is currently the advisor for the English Club and is involved with diversity initiatives on campus. Former ������Ƶ at Tuscarawas basketball standout Zach Camporese has been named boys varsity basketball head coach at New Smyrna Beach High School in Volusia County, Florida. Camporese, a two-time USCAA Academic All-American and 1000+ career point scorer, graduated Cum Laude from ������Ƶ State Tuscarawas in the spring of 2020. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Management degree and an overall GPA of 3.539. Roseann “Chic” Canfora, Ph.D., is a Professional-in-Residence at ������Ƶ in the School of Media and Journalism, part of the College of Communication and Information. Prior to teaching at ������Ƶ State, Canfora served as the chief communications officer for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District and taught high school journalism and speech. Canfora was also a student at ������Ƶ State, starting in 1968, and is a survivor of the May 4, 1970, shootings at ������Ƶ State.
