AP Credit

Students with a score of 3 or higher in AP Environmental Science may receive credit for GEOL 21062, Environmental Geology, a 3 credit Basic Science ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ Core course.

Advanced Placement (AP)

ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ awards college credit for Advanced Placement exams with scores of 3, 4, or 5. The AP Chart gives information about these scores and credits earned. Specific questions in regard to how these credits apply to the Geology major must be directed to the College of Sciences and Humanities.

If you are a high school student and you asked the College Board to send your scores to ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ when you took the tests in May, your scores will be evaluated in early August when ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ receives the score report. You will see your credit posted onto your FlashLine transcript by early November.

If you did not ask the College Board to send your scores to ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ, you will need to contact the College Board directly. You can obtain reports by:

If you are a college student transferring to ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ and you took an AP exam in high school, check the AP Chart to see if ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ will grant credit for your score. If you want this credit attached to your ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ transcript, contact the College Board. No credit can be posted until a student has enrolled as a ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ student.

International Baccalaureate (IB)

ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ awards college credit for most International Baccalaureate exams with scores of 5 or higher on the higher level examinations. No credit can be posted until a student has enrolled as a ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ student. Contact the ºìÐÓÊÓÆµ International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme for more information.
